A jar designed exclusively for April Rain Skin Science’s Night Rainew skin cream was inspired by the shape of a raindrop. HCT Packaging (Santa Monica, CA) studied lenticular images of raindrops in order to accurately create a package that would match the design brief. “The floating raindrop shape was the cornerstone for all of our design iterations,” says Adrian Apodaca, HCT Packaging’s senior engineer. “We wanted, however, to find the right shape for the acrylic outer casing to complement the curvature of the inner packaging.” She continues, “The final shape of the outer casing gave minimized refractive distortion of the inner packaging, while allowing us the best opportunity to display the distinct figure of the jar.”

According to their website, ECOCERT is a control and certification organization, whose activities are governed accordingly by the public authorities and legislation. ECOCERT is accredited for structure and procedures by COFRAC (French committee for accreditation), in accordance with guide standard ISO 65 (EN 45011), which requires independence, competence and impartiality.
Wikipedia defines ECOCERT as an organic certification organization, founded in France in 1991. It is based in Europe but conducts inspections in over 80 countries, making it one of the largest organic certification organizations in the world.
